This week was a great week. The new Elder came in on Tuesday and he’s pretty cool. He’s from Georgia and he studied Chinese for 6 years before the mission. It sounds pretty good.
We found 3 new investigators this week. One of our formers called us and wanted us to come visit him, he told us he wanted to get baptized. We found ***. He doesn’t do anything all day except go to driving school twice per week. He told us he wanted to join us. Haha, he wants to come with us and go visit people because he doesn’t have anything to do. He doesn’t have any religious background at all but we’ll help him. We’ll definitely be teaching him everyday now!
We also found ***. He was outside smoking and then he let us in to teach him and we’ll be seeing him again this week. The work is finally picking up and I know it’s because we’re planning out our time and thinking what more can we do everyday and we’re getting members out with us as much as we can. We got the most member present lessons this week that I’ve gotten in a long time.
We also got the opportunity to go to a devotional with Elder Oaks. He was addressing the YSA and *** brought us with him. We learned some deep doctrine from an Apostle haha.
1 Nephi 18:16 Nevertheless, I did look unto my God, and I did praise him all the day long; and I did not murmur against the Lord because of mine afflictions.
I read this scripture today and I learned something simple from the Book of Mormon. We all have afflictions. Don’t murmur because we have afflictions, praise God and he WILL give us blessings. It sure is hard at times but it’s worth it. I sure have learned a lot from applying this principle.
Well, that’s it from this week
Gotta go spread the Gospel!
