Great week out here in Houston. We had a lot of rain and some flooding but it wasn’t too bad. It’s crazy that everything Halloween is out of walmart and there is Christmas everywhere. It’s coming fast.
Here’s my week really quick.
Monday we taught *** the restoration again and watched the Restoration DVD with him. We also visited *** because he is our new branch missionary.
Tuesday we had an awesome lunch of pizza from Costco! We visited *** and ***. *** is still super less active.
Wednesday we had dinner at ***’s house and it was porkchops and apple sauce. I guess that’s a normal thing but I don’t remember ever eating that.
Thursday we had to cancel our sports night but we did get to go visit *** and walk around some lake that I’ve always wanted to go to.
Friday we had our Zone conference with Elder Corbridge of the First Quorum of the 70! It was sweet! He’s a cool guy. We talked about some deep doctrine and then the most important thing that we teach to people. We learned when to invite people to be baptized and I learned a lot. It was a great learning experience.
In the evening we went to our multi-Ward trunk or treat which was a lot of fun. A ton of members came even though Chinese people don’t celebrate Halloween haha.
Saturday we visited ***. We did have a fun time in our apartment when all the kids were trick or treating.
Sunday we finally got in a lesson with *** and his family is still super nice. He told us how much he wants to get baptized but his mom still says to wait so we’ll keep visiting with them.
Today has been a pretty relaxed p-day, nothing very fun going on.
Cool thing from Zone conference.
He asked you all, “what is the most important thing?” While there are many things that are important in the gospel, the one thing of most importance (Alma 7:7) is faith in the Savior, and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. This is our purpose, this is our message, this is what we need to teach simply and clearly, so that the people understand and never fall away. (Alma 23:6)
Love ya’ll out there
